• National coordinator of PRIN 2007 project on "Modeling of biomechanical man-machine interaction in vehicles" (see also biomechanics)
• Participation in the 6th Framework Programme NICETRIP on full-scale tiltrotor aeroelasticity and dynamics (POLIMI responsible for WP1).
• Participation in GARTEUR Helicopters AG-16 on Rotorcraft-Pilot Coupling (POLIMI coordinator; see also biomechanics)
• Participation in the 6th Framework Programme FRIENDCOPTER on active helicopter blade investigation (POLIMI responsible for WP5; see also structural analysis and smart materials).

Wind Energy

• POLIMI coordinator of the significant bilateral project "Aeroelastic Analysis of Wind-Turbines by Coupled Computational Fluid Dynamics/Multibody System Dynamics" with University of Wyoming, with the contribution of Ministero degli affari esteri.

Structural Analysis

• Participation in the 6th Framework Programme FRIENDCOPTER on active helicopter blade investigation (POLIMI responsible for WP5; see also helicopter dynamics and smart materials).
• Development of general-purpose beam section analysis software ANBA, especially tailored for the analysis of smart rotorcraft blades.

Smart Materials
