AN INDUSTRIAL PERSPECTIVE ON MISSILE SYSTEMS DESIGN

Missiles are very complex systems and their design involves many engineering skills in different areas, from systems engineering to aerospace concepts. This seminar will be an introduction to the world of missile systems from the point of view of the largest European group in the field and it will present shortly all the aspects and challenges that concern the design of a modern missile system.

The seminar will be in presence in room L09, beginning at 14:30.

Simone Battistini

Short bio
Simone Battistini has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Aerospace and Control Systems both at academic and industrial level, having served as a faculty member at Sheffield Hallam University (UK) and at the University of Brasília (Brazil). Furthermore, he was a visiting researcher at Technion (Israel), and a visiting professor at the University of Vigo (Spain). Since 2022 he is the Head of Simulation & Modeling at MBDA Italy, where he previously worked as a GNC engineer.
