MAHEPA-EASA RESEARCH WORKSHOP & WEBINAR ON HYBRID-ELECTRIC AVIATION

In the frame of the MAHEPA (Modular Approach to Hybrid-Electric Propulsion Architecture) H2020 project, a virtual worshop on the future integration of hybrid-electric commercial aviation shall take place on July 2-3, 2020.
The Research Workshop is restricted to EASA Staff, EU institutions and MAHEPA consortium members and will provide an important contribution towards the introduction of hybrid-electric aircraft to enable cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable aircraft operations in the next years. Topics to be discussed include multiple aspects of aerodrome operations, environmental impact, HW and SW certification, maintenance requirements. DAER-PoliMI participates in the MAHEPA in a key-role for aircraft design and operational scenario studies under the lead of Lorenzo Trainelli, FMSlab coordinator, who shall assume the role of moderator during the workshop.

After the workshop, a webinar open to the public shall be offered on July 3, h 14:00-15:30.
The webinar will present the MAHEPA project, the EASA contribution to it and possibly a brief outcome of the Research Workshop.
