The opening keynote will focus on the transformative role of digitalization in the evolution of the aerospace domain, setting the stage for two rich technical sessions.
Session 1 – Aviation Next: Concepts and Enabling Technologies for the Future of Aviation will explore next-generation aviation concepts, with presentations from:
- Prof. Giuseppe Quaranta, Politecnico di Milano – Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DAER), who will offer an introduction to the principles and practices of Certification by Simulation.
- Alessandro Scandroglio and Emanuele Bianchi, Leonardo Helicopters, presenting on Rotorcraft Digital Twin technologies integrating simulation, data-driven approaches, and virtual reality.
- Paolo Luzzati, Dassault Systèmes, discussing Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Continuity as enablers for accelerated innovation.
- Marco Barbina, Leonardo Electronics, showcasing AI applications for avionic mission systems.
After a networking coffee break, Session 2 – Airspaces 2030: Interconnected Operational Scenarios, Digitalization and Cybersecurity will delve into emerging operational frameworks and critical cybersecurity challenges. Speakers include:
- Giorgio Contogiorgos, Leonardo Helicopters, on Information Security in Multi-Domain Environments.
- Ettore Pizzaballa, SACBO, presenting on the Airport Digital Twin and its implications for airport management and planning.
- Davide Martini, EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency), offering a strategic perspective on Cybersecurity in Aviation, current status and future developments.
- Nicola Alagia, Thales, addressing the protection of critical infrastructures and the pivotal role of cybersecurity in ensuring safety and service continuity.
The day will conclude with a high-level roundtable discussion, “The Big Short: Investments and Challenges in the Aerospace Industry”, moderated by Prof. Giuseppe Quaranta. This panel will bring together:
