Self-Acquisition of Liquid propellant Versatile Arsenal of Resources Endeavour - SALVARE project has been announced to be in the 15 finalists list for the RASC-AL 2022 NASA contest.

A multidisciplinary team of 28 students from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Politecnico di Milano working together for 4 months designed a complex infrastructure to operate on the martian surface to produce 50 mt/year of LCH4 and LOx in a 5-year timespan from the ice reserves and Martian atmosphere; the team solved the numerous engineering challenges by adopting brilliant solutions and advanced technologies The team has been invited to the RASC-AL Forum in Florida to defend their project against the Steering Committee for the final two winners selection. The RASC-AL contest opportunity was put in evidence in PoliMi by the PoliSpace students' Association.
