SECOND TECHNICAL REVIEW MEETING FOR THE ASI-ISTAR PROJECT

On July 8th and 9th, the SPIRE research Lab, with the collaboration of COMPASS Lab, had the opportunity to organize and attend the second technical review for the ISTAR project at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, in Naples.

This collaboration is the result of an agreement between Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and Politecnico di Milano for the scientific-technical support to Aeronautica Militare in the Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) field, involving other research institutions as Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Università degli Studi di Padova, and Istituto di scienza e tecnologie dell'informazione "A. Faedo" (CNR-Isti).

The covered topics encompass Space Traffic Management (STM), fragmentation analysis, atmospheric re-entry, sensor tasking, telescope image processing and RSO characterisation.

The meeting featured valuable discussions that strengthened collaboration and clarified interactions between the various project tasks.
