The crashworthiness of future rotorcraft depends on the development of fast, reliable, and state-of-the-art numerical methods.

Hybrid approaches that combine analytical and numerical techniques (FE/MB) represent a promising pathway toward data-driven design of crashworthy rotorcraft structures.

This will be the focus of the research project funded by IDEA League, led by Antonio Maria Caporale from SIAMS Lab in collaboration with the CrashProof Lab at TU Delft.
