NEW OPEN PHD POSITION IN WIND FARM OPTIMIZATION AND OPERATION

The PhD position is part of the European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network ‟AWETRAIN - Airborne Wind Energy TRAining for Industrialization Network”

The research topic has a strong methodological focus in the field of complex systems integration, encompassing the understanding of various phenomena ranging from aerodynamics, control, and structures to holistic design. This is complemented by activities in modeling, simulation, and experimentation. The activity consists of modeling, first a single system, then a fleet of Airborne Wind Energy systems, with the goal of studying cooperative design logic and control to maximize the energy produced by the wind farm and minimize the cost of energy.
