FRANCESCA SCALA AWARDED ESA-ISEB STUDENT SPONSORSHIP FOR IAC22

Francesca Scala, PhD candidate at DAER PoliMi, has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) to attend the 73rd International Astronautical Congress (IAC22) in Paris as an ESA-sponsored student for the International Space Education Board’s (ISEB) Student Program.
The student sponsorship is designed to supplement and enrich students’ experience at the congress, tailoring both educational and professional insights. Francesca will present her research on formation flying for Earth observation application at the IAF Earth Observation Symposium.

Francesca Scala is a PhD. Candidate at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DAER) at Politecnico di Milano. Her research activities focus on the design of formation flying strategies for remote sensing applications, guidance navigation and control, relative motion, and trajectory optimisation.
