SPACE SURVEILLANCE RESEARCH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SEVILLE

PhDAER Seminar
Thursday, December 12, at 14:30 am - Dipartimento di Scienze e Tecnologie Aerospaziali, Politecnico di Milano, Sala Consiglio DAER, Second Floor, Campus Bovisa, Via La Masa, 34, Milano (MI)
This seminar presents recent developments in Space Surveillance and Awareness (SSA) at the University of Seville's Aerospace Engineering Research Group.
Our research focuses on two main areas: conjunction analysis and maneuver detection.
In conjunction analysis, we have developed novel analytical methods for space occupancy assessment and efficient filtering techniques incorporating perturbation effects.
For maneuver detection, we leverage single-radar tracking data with various approaches including mixture-based metrics and reachability analysis.
The seminar will also discuss our ongoing collaborations with ESA, Indra, and other partners, and outline future research directions in other areas such as uncertainty propagation.
