STEFANO SILVESTRINI AMONG THE WINNERS OF THE IDEA LEAGUE FELLOWSHIP EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Stefano Silvestrini, researcher at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology - Politecnico di Milano, is among the winners of the IDEA League Fellowship 2024-2025 grant.

As part of the grant, he spent a three-month visiting period at TU Delft, conducting research in collaboration with Prof. J. Guo and Dr. A. Caon on deep learning methods for spacecraft Guidance Navigation and Control for coordinated flight and proximity maneuvers.

During the visiting period, he developed and refined vision-based navigation algorithms using deep learning and tested them in the TU Delft GNC Orbital Mechanics Lab.

IDEA League is a strategic partnership between five leading European universities in the field of science and technology.

Beside Politecnico di Milano, TU Delft, ETH Zurich, RWTCH Aachen University and Chalmers University are also members.

Through the IDEA League Fellowship Exchange Programme, the association promotes collaboration and networking among the five institutions involved, enabling researchers to jointly develop innovative research projects that address the most challenging problems at European and global level.
