The thesis lab is a POLIMI-DAER/Leonardo Helicopters initiative in which highly motivated students develop their thesis work on individual but interconnected interdisciplinary subjects under the supervision of teams of academic and industrial tutors.
After a very successful initial edition in 2022, the 2023 one completed the selection of the candidates. On March 16, 2023, the kick-off meeting took place on Leonardo’s premises at Cascina Costa. The students’ work will build on top of the advanced tiltrotor aircraft design developed during the previous edition; (by chance?) during the visit, an AW609 tiltrotor prototype took off in front of them.
