Description of the research and its impacts

• Algorithm development service for the characterization of targets observed by EUSST sensors and development of procedures for sensor tasking within the EUSST network.
• The project aims to enhance European Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) services through data sharing and networking capabilities, enabling the characterization of space objects in orbit and the coordination of the sensor network during on-orbit fragmentation events.
• The project contributes to strengthening the data-sharing and networking capabilities of the EUSST consortium.

Main contributions of DAER

• DAER is involved in the development of algorithms for the characterization of objects in Earth orbit (size, pose, and attitude estimation) and for the coordination of a sensor network during on-orbit fragmentation events.
