Zambaldo Carlo

PHD

Carlo Zambaldo is a Ph.D. candidate in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and a member of the SPIRE research group, where he previously served as a Research Fellow.

He received his M.Sc. in Space Engineering with a thesis on reinforcement learning applied to relative guidance for close proximity operations and docking in cislunar space.

During his research fellowship, he worked on onboard Orbit Determination algorithms, focusing on object catalogue maintenance.

His current Ph.D. research focuses on relative navigation at both far and close range exploiting neuromorphic cameras, with particular emphasis on close proximity operations and robotic manipulators.
