Xi Li is a postdoctoral researcher, currently working on buckling and post-buckling analysis of aerospace composite structures at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology. In 2022, she obtained her PhD Degree at Delft University of Technology with her thesis on unfolding the early fatigue damage accumulation of composite laminates. From 2022 to 2024, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Delft University of Technology, dedicating to characterization of fracture and damage behaviours for various materials, mainly focusing on fibre reinforced polymer composites for aerospace structures and wind turbines. Her research interests include but not limit on:

  • Fatigue damage initiation and accumulation
  • Buckling related non-linear large deformation of aerospace structures
  • In-situ monitoring and diagnostics of damage using advanced techniques
  • Deterministic and probabilistic numerical/phenomenological damage modelling
