DAER CONTRIBUTION TO THE REENTRY CAMPAIGN OF THE ESA SATELLITE AEOLUS

The Department of Aerospace Science and Technology of Politecnico di Milano was involved in the assisted reentry campaign of the ESA satellite Aeolus in July 2023.
The reentry campaign was monitored by Aeronautica Militare as part of Italy’s contribution to the EUSST program.
In particular, Marco Felice Montaruli ↗ and Alessandra De Luca ↗ helped the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) to manage and process BIRALES radar observations.
