The Department of Aerospace Science and Technology of Politecnico di Milano was involved in the reentry campaign of the ESA satellite ERS-2 in February 2024.

The Bistatic Radar for LEO survey (BIRALES), managed by Italian National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), contributed to the re-entry campaign.

In particular, Maria Alessandra De Luca ↗ and Marco Felice Montaruli ↗ supported the INAF to operate and process BIRALES radar observations.
