Matteo is a PhD student who joined the ASTRA group led by Michèle Lavagna at Politecnico di Milano in January 2024. He earned a M.Sc. in Space Engineering in December 2023, with a thesis on the application of AI to enhance the capabilities space manipulators for In-Orbit Servicing missions. His main research interests fall in the fields of autonomous guidance and control of space robots via deep reinforcement learning methodologies.
