Eleonora Andreis won the first prize in the 2022 Student Conference Competition at the 3rd SIW
Eleonora Andreis, Ph.D. Student in Aerospace Engineering supervised by Prof. Francesco Topputo, won the first prize in the 2022 Student Conference Competition for the work "A Vision-Based Navigation Algorithm for Deep-Space Cruise" framed within the EXTREMA project at the 3rd Space Imaging Workshop held at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.
Eleonora Andreis is a PhD student working at the DART Lab at Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on autonomous optical navigation for interplanetary CubeSats in the framework of the ERC-funded EXTREMA project. Her expertise involves the development of orbit determination algorithms and image processing techniques, and their integration in hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
